History: Sri Hosa Marigudi temple kaup
Yadrusham Vapyate Beejam Tadrusham Labhyate Phalam
Literally translated the above lines mean:
When we sow good seeds in the soil, the seeds sprout and quicly grow into plants and larger
trees so as to provide us with fruit and shade. In the same way, inorder to obtain our desires in
life it is important that we sow the right and good seeds in our life.
When we offer a ‘Shilaseva’ at the Kapu Mariamma Kshetra, the divine land, it is like sowing
seeds which will soon sprout and grow to be a large tree in the form of Amma’s temple. This tree,
the gudi of Amma, will then provide us with the right, desired fruit and in the right time. The
‘Shilaseva’ will yield unbelievable results in the form of the Amma granting us all our desires.
Before the Prathisthapana of Kapu Mariamma, it is important that all of us participate in the
Navadurga Lekhana Yajna by writing the names of Amma, and this action of ours will be our good
fortune to participate and offer our seva.
It is believed that by writing Amma’s name, she will come and reside in our souls and we make
our offerings, through Navachandi Yaga to Amma, she will reside in our soul. When she is
pleased with the Navachandi Yaga and the offerings, it is certain that she will bless us abundantly.
So, let us all get ourselves ready for the Prathisthapana of Amma and initiate our vows to her. As
children of Amma, all of us need her protection and so let us seek her protection.
